All patients have the right to be fully informed about the results of any tests, investigations, lab results, etc.
It's our practice policy to contact patients with SIGNIFICANT results as soon as possible, after we've been notified of the results by the specialist or laboratory. It's important that you let us know any change in phone numbers and/or address so we can get hold of you.
Unless specifically asked to do so, we don't contact patients with NORMAL results - please let your practitioner know if this is the case.
You can check your lab results once they have been signed off by your practitioner through My Health Portal - you will need to ring the practice to have Level 2 access activated to see your results. Login into My Health Portal
