Dr Elbor­ough trained in Dundee Scot­land, grad­u­at­ing in 1987, com­plet­ed her GP voca­tion­al train­ing in 1991, and moved to NZ in 2000 with her young family.

Dr Parkes’ spe­cial inter­ests include pae­di­atrics, women’s health and fam­i­ly plan­ning. How­ev­er, she enjoys all aspects of fam­i­ly health care from minor surgery to the care of ongo­ing ill­ness. She par­tic­u­lar­ly val­ues get­ting to know peo­ple over time as she believes this is the key to effec­tive­ly help­ing peo­ple with their health.

Dr. Ishavar Morar

Dr Morar was born in Pukeko­he and attend­ed local dis­trict schools. He prac­tised gen­er­al med­i­cine in Rotorua for 13 years and was part of the devel­op­ment of a large Acci­dent and Med­ical Clin­ic in that region. An oppor­tu­ni­ty pre­sent­ed for Dr Morar to return to Pukeko­he in 1996 with his wife and two school age chil­dren and to join Pukeko­he Fam­i­ly Health Care.

Dr. Dhruva Patel

Dr Patel was work­ing as a prin­ci­pal in prac­tice in Mid­dle­sex, UK before immi­grat­ing to New Zealand with her fam­i­ly in Sep­tem­ber 2005 to join PFHC as a part-time GP. She grad­u­at­ed from Aberdeen Uni­ver­si­ty in 1990 and went into Gen­er­al Prac­tice becom­ing a Mem­ber of the col­lege of Gen­er­al Prac­ti­tion­ers in 1994.

Dr. Rod Wynne-Jones — Locum GP

Dr Wynne-Jones was born and raised in Hamil­ton. He grad­u­at­ed from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Ota­go in 1986. He worked in the UK for 3 years, and then returned to New Zealand to com­plete the Gen­er­al Prac­tice Train­ing Pro­gramme in 1992. He then spent 7 years work­ing as a Gen­er­al Prac­ti­tion­er for the Uni­ver­si­ty of Auck­land, Depart­ment of Gen­er­al Prac­tice in Manurewa.

Eve qual­i­fied in 2013 from the Dunedin School of Med­i­cine, Ota­go Uni­ver­si­ty. Became a GP Reg­is­trar in 2017, and is work­ing with the PFHC team. Eve has many inter­ests with­in her work as a GP includ­ing Well­ness and the over­all bal­ance of all patients seek­ing care.

Dr. Erik Benjamins — Locum GP

After get­ting his Mas­ters in Bio­med­ical Sci­ences, he worked in the phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal indus­try across Europe, and at Lei­den Uni­ver­si­ty to teach med­ical stu­dents the basics of phar­ma­cy. He com­plet­ed his med­ical stud­ies and GP voca­tion­al train­ing at Lei­den Uni­ver­si­ty, the Nether­lands. He moved to NZ togeth­er with his wife in 2011.

Dr Sai­ni grew up in Pap­a­to­toe and com­plet­ed her med­ical degree from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Auck­land. She worked for 6 years in var­i­ous med­ical, sur­gi­cal and obstet­ric units in Aus­tralia. She set­tled in Pukeko­he with her fam­i­ly in 2010 and has been prac­tis­ing as a GP since. She us a fel­low of the Roy­al New Zealand Col­lege of Gen­er­al Practitioners.

Jacqui is a Com­mu­ni­ty Nurse Pre­scriber with 14 years of expe­ri­ence in pae­di­atrics. Jacqui has worked in pae­di­atric med­ical and sur­gi­cal inpa­tient set­tings at Kidz First, the Roy­al Children’s hos­pi­tal in Mel­bourne and Star­ship hos­pi­tal, she runs the Lit­tle Feet Clin­ic 4 days a week.

Lisa is an expe­ri­enced Reg­is­tered Nurse Pre­scriber who has worked in Pri­ma­ry Care with­in the Franklin Com­mu­ni­ty for over 10 years. Her areas of spe­cial­ty include Long Term Con­di­tions, Wom­en’s Health, and Ear Health. She is pas­sion­ate about holis­tic’ well­be­ing; peo­ple being healthy in all areas of their lives – includ­ing phys­i­cal, mental/​emotional, spir­i­tu­al, and family/​community.

Preet was born in India, moved to New Zealand in 2010 and joined the PFHC team in 2016. She has worked in Pri­ma­ry Care for over 15 years and has pre­vi­ous­ly worked in areas includ­ing dia­betes, emer­gency, renal dial­y­sis, aged care and edu­ca­tion. Preet is cur­rent­ly com­plet­ing post grad­u­ate stud­ies in Nurs­ing & Health. Her areas of spe­cial­ty include dia­betes man­age­ment. She is pas­sion­ate about work­ing in the com­mu­ni­ty to sup­port patients and whā­nau in achiev­ing opti­mal health. Out­side work, she loves to spend time with fam­i­ly, friends, read­ing and lis­ten­ing to music.
