Equipment & Connection
To have a video consult, you just need a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and sound, no need to download software or create an account.
A good internet connection for video consults is required, you can use data, but WIFI will give you better call quality.
If you cannot make a video call, your doctor or nurse can call you with a phone consultation on a number of your choice (landline or cellphone) if this is appropriate for your health care needs.
Security & Privacy
Doxy.me is an approved telemedicine video consult platform. Your information is not be stored in the video consult platform or phone. Your health practitioner will take notes in the same record system used during in-person consults.
Appointments are private and provided in consultation rooms like in-person appointments. Your appointments are not recorded.
If it has been a little while since we last saw you, your health practitioner may ask you to confirm your full name and date of birth at the start of your appointment.
Just like in-person, you are welcome to have a support person with you during your consultation, however, please let your practitioner know, so they can tailor your appointment accordingly.
